It is important to follow the video proctored exam procedures to avoid receiving a penalty on your exam grade and to submit your exam by the deadline listed in the syllabus. Before you begin, you must download and install the Respondus LockDown Browser on your computer. Instructors cannot return "lost time" back to students. If you lose connection with the exam, please re-enter it immediately as the timer will continue to run. Once the test begins, you must finish it. You may only take a test once. For complete video-testing instructions and guidelines, please see the updated syllabus. You may NOT go back and forth between questions. The best VM software to use is Windows 8 (VMware fusion), Oracle VM, or MS Dreamspark. This allows you to run more than one operating system on a single computer. Remember to take the time to do a complete scan of your testing environment (edge to edge). Another common hack to cheat the Respondus LockDown browser is to use a virtual machine that has an edited registry that looks like a real machine.

Students must use Respondus video monitoring to take their exam. Students must present their UTA student or government issued ID card in order to take an exam.
